The Naytahwaush Community School will provide a child-centered environment where learning is relevant and respects the traditions and wisdom of community, family and self.

The Naytahwaush Community School will be a place where children are respected as individuals, as community members and as ancestors of a rich cultural heritage. The Naytahwaush Community School will appreciate the wide resources available by using them to enhance curriculum through experiential and service learning activities. The Naytahwaush Community School will promote the whole child through challenging academics, community involvement, and fostering healthy life choices.

Naytahwaush Community School will provide an environment where learning is relevant to the life environment of the child and his/her individual needs. High academic expectations will be fostered through environmental learning, the arts and cultural exploration. Parents and guardians will play a vital role in their child?s education; home-visits will be conducted a minimum of twice yearly, including one visit prior to the start of each school year to begin the process of establishing a strong home/school partnership. Community involvement will also be an integral piece to the education at the Naytahwaush Community School.
